THIS GAME IS COMPLETELY FREE TO DOWNLOAD AND FREE TO PLAY!

This game was once a mod for Battlefield 2. Its goal was to make the game more realistic and to improve teamwork, which Battlefield 2 lacked for the more strategic gamers. It started with just removing nametags and crosshairs, but has since grown to a huge mod that has numerous new armies (such as the Dutch army, French army, Russian army but also improved US army and US navy and Chinese Defence forces). It also includes the Taliban and militia.
Oh, and it also includes a couple of Vietnam maps including the Vietnamese army versus the American army!

Playing on maps that are four kilometers by four kilometers means there's an actual need for transport squads. Squads have been modified to carry eight soldiers, rather than the six the original Battlefield 2 game had. Also vehicles are updated and are now usually capable of holding more men than they would in the original game.

The best part is though: their latest update made the mod a standalone. Battlefield 2 is no longer required! It still uses that engine so graphics aren't even close to the modern games, but do consider that this game was made in 2005.

Go look at the trailer here! Be sure to put it on 1080p!

If you are into strategic games in which you actually require teamwork, battles that sometimes last two hours and a solid amount of maps varying from desert to woodlands to cities, I'd say give this game a shot. It is much easier to play than for instance ArmA II and I take great joy in playing this game.

Download the game, set-up your Mumble** (THIS IS VITAL!) and go play the game. Let me know what you guys think!

This is the trailer for an older version, but still pretty neat. Most of what you see there is still in the game!

** Mumble allows for 3D voice communications and is the main means of communication in the game. Be sure to set up your squad comms to speak to your squadmates over any distance, and your local comms to talk to anyone nearby. Especially useful when you're down, so a medic can easily locate you simply by your voice! Mumble allows 3D sounds which means that anyone that is far away, will be soft, while a person standing next to you is regularly loud.

Yep, it's completely free! Unless you consider time to be money, in which case it's gonna cost you a little. ;)

Don't know what your current GPU is, but this game isn't really demanding (considering you don't have a GPU made out of sticks and stones).

The problem is that I currently do not have a GPU (except for Intel HD series on my CPU) because I sold them in order to buy 2 980Tis.

Are you investing yourself 7 years onwards or are you playing on 4k TV?

My name is [WS]Rasgo

By the way, deviation is a bitch. So before shooting anyone, make sure to hold still for a second. You'll shoot much more accurate.

If you play CS:GO, you know how to shoot.

By the way, I've already downloaded, will install and try it tomorrow.

Not really, I just do it to have the best of the best possible expirience you can have, I almost always replace my stuff with something better that gets released. Basically I want the max out of my 144hz monitor and play with 4k downsampling as well as render movies and such on my tv. Ofcourse there's the bragging rights as well :lol2:
